Editorial methodology
How Updatehey separates official evidence, community early warnings and user reports before producing an install verdict.
Official evidence first
Vendor release-health pages, support notices, security bulletins and driver notices are treated as the strongest confirmation layer. Changes are monitored automatically and preserved with source links.
Community reports are early warnings
Repeated reports from independent public communities are clustered by update identifier and symptom. A forum report does not become vendor confirmation simply because it is repeated.
Verdicts and confidence
Verdicts combine official severity, recency, repeated field signals and the amount of supporting evidence. Automated recommendations are review aids; a single community post is not allowed to silently overwrite a public verdict.
Corrections and freshness
Source collection runs on a schedule and health checks flag stale or degraded collectors. When vendor evidence changes, Updatehey records the change and reevaluates the affected update.
