Repair Windows 11 by reinstalling the current version
When update components or system files are damaged, Windows 11 can reinstall the same version through the Windows Update recovery option.
Where to find it
Open Settings → System → Recovery and use Reinstall now under Fix problems using Windows Update.
What it preserves
Microsoft says the process reinstalls the same Windows version, repairs system files and components, and preserves apps, files and settings.
Before starting
Keep the PC connected to power and the internet throughout the process, and maintain a separate backup of important files.
