Prepare an AMD driver cleanup or rollback safely
AMD provides an official Cleanup Utility that removes previously installed AMD graphics and audio drivers and software before a fresh installation. Use it deliberately when a normal uninstall does not resolve a conflict or a documented rollback is needed.
Check the release notes first
Confirm whether the symptom appears in the installed Adrenalin version's Known Issues and whether AMD recommends a specific earlier version as a temporary workaround.
Record settings and back up work
Save custom graphics profiles and important files before cleanup. AMD states that the utility removes AMD graphics and audio drivers and software but does not modify AMD chipset drivers.
Use only the official utility
Download the Cleanup Utility from AMD's official support page, follow its instructions, then reinstall an official driver compatible with the GPU and operating system.
